Nesting...and a great giveaway from CSN Stores!

The weather is getting chilly, the garden is sleeping, and I find myself spending more time inside than out.

I have a special place where I like to hunker down ("nest") and relax with a good book.  I like to sit in front of the fire with a nice cup of tea or hot chocolate.

I need a place to put my things; afterall, with a book (and/or a kitty) in my lap, my hand are full.

That's the purpose of coffee tables, right?

CSN Stores have many beautiful coffee tables. Here are some of my favorites:

Speaking of nesting... wouldn't it be great if a pair of bluebirds would nest in your yard and raise a family next year?

This is not a bluebird house; but there was a pair of bluebirds looking it over last summer.

Eventually the bluebirds moved on, presumably to more suitable quarters.

I'm prepared for the bluebirds to come back next year...a friend built me a real bluebird house!

Good News!  Thanks to CSN Stores, you can win this Audubon bluebird house!

Here is how you can enter to win your very own bluebird house from CSN Stores:

1) Contest is open to residents of the U.S. and Canada.
2) To enter your name one time, leave a comment on this post.
3) To enter your name two times, be a follower of this blog and leave a second comment stating you are a follower.
4) To enter your name three times, click here and come back with a third comment telling me what coffee table or end table you would choose if you had a gift certificate to use.
5) The winner will be selected by a random numeral generator (http://www.random.org/).
6) Contest begins on November 21, 2010 and ends at 12:00 a.m. CST on December 5, 2010. I will attempt to contact the winner either through his/her blog or e-mail. You do not have to have a blog to enter but I do need a way to contact you. If I do not receive a response from the winner by December 12, another winner will be chosen.

Thanks to CSN Stores for providing a bluebird house for one lucky reader's garden!

Kind regards,

Beth

Hi Beth
Bluebirds! Lucky you - hope they do return and that you can get some good photos.
Our community paper comes out once a week so if you follow my link and then click on community columns, you should be able to find The Gardener's Corner. In the archives, it has my articles for the last couple of years. The editor gives each column a title - he's not a gardener. :-)

Hi Beth
I love that table #2. I could use one of those in my new addition, ah I guess I'll just use what I have here, it's a solid oak plain coffee table. What I'd really love is one with a glass top that opens up and you can put in a little collection of things in there, you've probably seen those. We have an ivory Alaskan collection that would work in there. We don't have blue birds up here but did in CA.

Oh we have missed visiting you - stupid work computers are tracked and blocked now! Those are all great coffee tables - but we think the birdhouse is super cool. We have a birdhouse in the front yard that gets a bird family every year (not sure what they are - small - not blue bird sized for sure - but that woudl be cool!) It would be very cool to be able to have a new house in back, or to replace the old one (though I would have to think hard because I don't want to confuse the birds who use it each year!)

Hi Beth,

Yes, I think we may well be kindred spirits! I was just in Des Moines visiting some good friends. I've recently found out that my great grandparents were from that area. Also I work for Meredith Publishing on some projects. Used to write for Country Living GARDENER for many, many years.

Best wishes to you Beth,
