Winter Wonderland

It's not Spring yet! Much as I wish it were! Yesterday morning, great big flakes of snow replaced the rain that had been falling. As they fell, they melted upon hitting the ground.

An amazing sight

This is what I woke up to this morning: nearly 4 inches of fresh fallen snow.

This is Tortie's snow cave, otherwise known as an ornamental grass weighed down with snow.

A perfect hiding place

Awww, serenity

My favorite of today's photos. If it has to be cold, at least it's pretty!

Thanks for visiting,

Beth

  7. Hi Beth
Canadian bloggers are all showing the snow they received and here you are too! Have to admit, it's beautiful wintery wonderland scenery. I keep thinking about the snow we'll be coming back to and - coats, boots and the rest.

I can't believe that tortoises can survive in that kind of weather...wow! He must hibernate...? I do know that they are the longest living mammals on our planet, but in that weather...? And...with a cat?

  11. What beautiful pictures Beth. It was 80 here yesterday but nice and breezy. I hate to see the heat come so soon here because before you know it we won't want to leave the A.C. I love all the beautiful flowers in your last few post too.

Have a fun weekend. Hugs...Tracy @ Cotton Pickin Cute

  12. Gorgeous pictures, Beth!!
    A Winter Wonderland!
I beleive I read a comment about you on Olivia's Chronic Pain Diary and you said you had IBS. If it was you, do you have any advise on how to curb some of the symptoms? I am on Bentyl and Probiotics and there are good days and bad days. If you have any words of wisdom to offer, I would greatly appreciate it!

    Hugs,
    Deb

  18. We are having the same confusing weather--first it seems like spring is here, and the daffodils are coming up, then a surprise snow in the night! Your kitty looks like she has a nice comfy place to stay warm. Linda

  19. Very pretty photos, Beth! We have not had any significant snowfall here in NYC this year, which more than makes up for all the record breaking snowfall we had last year. Of course the winter is not over, but I am hoping it continues to say mild.
