Fall Garden Tasks

Deal with leaves - check.  Shredded leaves make good mulch for the berry patch.

 Apply compost - check.

Obtain and spread pine needles for mulch - check.

 Trim/pull spent foliage - check.

Some of the plant materials is yard waste, such as seed heads and plants with disease; set out for curbside pick-up - check.

Start new compost pile, allowing the cycle to begin anew - check.

Clean and store garden tools - check.  (I used a silicone spray.)

not pictured: Put garden art and hoses away - check.

Savor the last rose - check.

It was a good year in the garden, but now it's time for the garden, and the gardener, to rest.
