Garden Ideas: Creative Design Solutions

Lucky me! I won this fabulous book from Donna at Gardens Eye View. Donna hosted her generous giveaway as a part of the Grow Your Blog Party at 2 Bags Full.

If you're not familiar with Vicki's Grow Your Blog Party, click here and there is an icon on the right sidebar; click there to access the list of party participants. I enjoyed the party, and I was able to grow my blog (thanks, new followers!); in addition, I was able to find several new-to-me blogs of kindred souls that I am now following. Plus, I won two giveaways. (More about the other win in a future post.)

This book has sections on container gardening, water gardening, trellis (vertical) gardening, and shade gardening. The pictures are lovely.

The beauty of wisteria - oh, how I wish I had a strong garden structure on which to grow this beauty!

An azalea walk in spring:  reminds me of Larry Conrad's fabulous gardens, as well as the shade gardens of Don at An Iowa Garden.  If you like seeing beautiful and unique gardens, I highly recommend you head over to visit Larry and Don!

Don has woodland gardens that we were privileged to visit last spring. To see his ladyslipper orchids, azaleas, rhododendrons, Japanese maples, lancifolia, heucherella, euphorbia, trillium, arisaema sikokianum, and much more, go to this post from our visit.

Love how the morning glory is growing up this obelisk.

 A fan-shaped trellis

An arbor with a gorgeous rambling red rose, surrounded by delphiniums

Spring flowers: lupines, cranesbill, iris, and alliums

I am enjoying Garden Ideas: Creative Design Solutions by Carol Spier and Warren Schultz.

THANK YOU, DONNA, FOR MY NEW BOOK! I LOVE IT!

Be sure to visit Donna's blog, Gardens Eye View. Tell her Beth sent you over!

Oh how glorious these photos are. When I had a store in Spring Texas years ago there were really old trees with Wisteria hanging down. They were so lovely!
