Wednesday in the garden

Today I walked through the garden and couldn't resist snapping a few photos to share. It's getting so pretty at Sunsplash Gardens now!

Bearded iris are in their prime right now.

This is an anemone. It has amazed me with how quickly it has grown and multiplied; it was new last year.

Geranium 'Max Frei' has grown rapidly as well.

The clematis are doing well this year; this is 'Multi Blue.'

'Nelly Moser' is thick and covered with blooms!

Here's a closer look at 'Nelly Moser.'

'Claire de lune' is really showy this year too.

 This is 'Proteus.'

I have an area with several heuchera, heucherella, and tiarella (well, that's an exaggeration...there are several heuchera but only one heucherella and tiarella)! Above is heuchera 'Stoplight.'

I really love this heuchera. It's called 'Lipstick.'

This is tiarella 'Spring Symphony.'   I think it's rather popular in blogland....I've seen it pictured on a number of blogs.

Heucherella 'Sweet Tea' looks lovely against the background of coordinating color (pine needle mulch).

A garden fairy resides in the heuchera/heucherella/tiarella area.

 This is heuchera 'Caramel.'

Tree peony 'Goldfinch' is blooming now too.

Clematis 'Rebecca' - gorgeous red!

What's growing in your garden now?

  6. Fantastic photos. Your gardens are really coming along. Love all your Clematis and Heuchera. I need to pick up another Clematis as one of mine just doesn't come back and I need another one to grow in the shrub with the one. Have thought about Nelly Moser as it looks nice and is easily accessible.

  12. So many pretty things coming up!! Two questions...what are you using for mulch, is that straw? And I have clematis at the lake, it blooms late summer. I want something that blooms in the middle of summer and really like your Nelly Moser. How long do you have blooms on that?

  13. Lots of floral goodness here for sure. I love Clematis. Your White one and that Red one are my favorites of yours. I have 2 one is a very double pink and the other is a single purple.
Also your Bearded Iris is stunning.

  14. Your flowers are so pretty. I had a neighbor once who had the worst times with her clematis vines; she was always fussing with them and they were always dying! but you definitely have the green thumb!

  18. Your garden is looking lush and full already, Beth. To answer your question, I have a few tulips left, some coral bells that will soon open, irises, columbine and loads of peony buds!

Enjoy your Sunday. Back to the garden for me.

  20. Lovely photos, Beth. I found it interesting that you have heuchera and tiarella planted together, because just this afternoon I heard Ed Lawrence (who has a weekly gardening call in on our national radio) speaking of his hurchera and tiarella which are together. He was mentioning it in relation to how things are blooming at different times than usual this year (and that one of the above was in the way of the other, where normally it wouldn't be. Do you find that?
