Friends Sharing Coffee (at a tea room)

My friend Rita and I had a fun day in Pella, Iowa. The highlight of our trip was lunch at the Tulip Tea Room.

The Tulip Tea room resides in a former two-story home. Pella is a Dutch settlement "famous" for Tulip Time. Tulips are BIG there. Given that it is now autumn, the tulip bouquets have been replaced by fall florals.

We selected coffee (a Snickerdoodle-like flavor), because the flavor sounded so delicious. It was good, and we drank several cups each.

Lunch consisted of chicken almond casserole, maple pecan scones, pumpkin soup, and almond bars. The soup was so amazing! Our server described it as tasting like "liquid pumpkin pie." (And she was accurate!)

Rita and I split a slice of apple rhubarb pie - warm, with ice cream.
