I began in my backyard.
The garden has gone "autumnal" (is that a word?). In other words, mainly green with a few flowers and some berries...eventually it'll be even more autumnal with the shrubs becoming colorful and eventual plants turning brown and dry, courtesy of a frost/freeze.
The west side of the border garden looks fall-ish for sure.
The pineapple sage has scarlet blooms.
Clematis 'Josephine'
Heading out by foot and by car, I looked for touches of autumn. There's plenty to be found; we're two-three weeks ahead of schedule here in central Iowa.
A glorious yellow tree in someone's yard
Four Mile Creek is a victim of drought; it's pretty much dry.
I love this photo! The "silk" literally glows.
The red vine in these trees is poison ivy. Look but don't touch!
We see the bluest skies in the fall!
Even poison ivy can be pretty.
