The Notecard Party

Vee of A Haven for Vee hosts the Notecard Party on the third Wednesday of every month. It's an opportunity to post four notecard-worthy photos from your blog. Go to Vee's website here for information on how to be a part of her awesome meme.

My theme for the December notecard party is winter.

 "Meandering Stream"

 "Snowy Spruce"

 "Garden Visitor"

I share this last photo not because it's great artistically. I had occasion to meet Tia Torres of Pit Bulls and Parolees' fame. Here she is taking a photo of a dog-shaped cake that was made in her honor. I admire her for the work she does at Villalobos Rescue Center.

This photo fits the winter theme because I attended a program she gave in winter (March 2012).

Not part of the Notecard party, but just 'cuz I thought you'd like to see it:
Here is the Pit Bull Cake.

Hi Beth,
Since I had a minute I wanted to run by and wish you a Merry Christmas.
Love all these lovely winter shots
especially that one of the stream.
All card worthy for sure. Simply
beautiful.
That cake is amazing, it looks like
a dog statue. Yes, pet rescuers are some good people. Nice you got to
meet one that you admire!

Checked out your other posts too,
and they were all beautiful, those poinsettias just take your breathe away, so can only imagine how they look in person, or in plant! lol

Hope you are enjoying this very special season of the years, it sure looks like it. Hope you get to see your daughter for Christmas.
Take Care hon,
and Blessings for a Lovely and Merry Christmas,
Nellie

Lovely winter scenes Beth, sometimes I wish I'd see a little deer in the back.
The cake is amazing - covered in coloured fondant?
Some people are so talented at creating and decorating cakes.
Hugs,
Judith

Thanks for stopping by for the notecard party Beth.
Your first shot is beautiful - a true Winter landscape.
Love the garden visitor - we have many but NOT deer! This one almost appears as a statue - so sweet, until they nibble your shrubs and plants!!

Merry Christmas.

Your wintery cards are fabulous! I always love to make my own cards with my photos.
What a grand cake. That would be so hard to cut into, but I bet I could do it!!

Hi Beth,
Your pictures are wonderful. That doggy cake is pretty amazing. It remins me of Skye, my son's pit bull. She was such a sweet dog and she died a couple of years ago. She was only seven and she was full of cancer. It was so sad! Our doggies and kitties become members of our families and it is so dificult when we lose them.
Thank you for your visit and your sweet comment. Wishing you and your loved ones a Very Happy Christmas and Healthy New Year!

Christmas blessings,
Sandi

Hello dear Beth
Lovely cards this month.
My particular favorite is of the deer by the bird feeders - maybe he's hopeful of finding some birdseed or breadcrumbs!!
I love the grouping of the feeders - it's like their own tea room and they can all catch up with their news - my imagination does run wild at times!!!
BIG Christmas hugs
