In 2001, I had the privilege of visiting Ireland. Above, a beautiful castle.
The Irish countryside - an amazing 40 shades of green; from the air, it looks like a patchwork quilt!
Sheep abound, seeming to roam freely in the Irish countryside

I've heard that everyone is a little bit o' Irish on St. Patrick's Day. I know that I enjoy making "Irish" goodies in my kitchen; how about you?
Tea with shamrock sugar cookies
Irish soda bread scones
Orange Chocolate Chip Drop Scones
The scones aren't Irish, but the placemat and napkin (lace from Ireland) are!

How wonderful Beth! Definitely on my bucket list. Everything is so beautiful there.
Looks like you're all set for St. Patty's Day Beth! I have my corned beef safely in the fridge and already look forward to dinner on Sunday:@)

Hi Beth,
I'm so glad you had the opportunity to visit Ireland! So many beautiful castles and fields. Happy St. Patrick's Day!
Hello Beth
Glenn's paternal grandmother was from Ireland and her shade of blue eyes have travelled right down to our grands.
I hope to visit Ireland but for now enjoy it through photos like yours.
We love cabbage and corned beef any time of year!
Lot's of goodies for your St. Paddy's tea.
Hugs,
Judith

Beautiful post! I am envious! A trip to Ireland would be much enjoyed! Can't say that it is in my future, though.
How fun to visit your blog today and see photos of your trip to Ireland. The closest I've come to Ireland, is Corktown in Detroit! ;-) Your St. Patrick's Day table is lovely!
Wonderful Beth! IT's nice to get out the photos of visits to Ireland...always seem to this time of year. Lovely! Love your Belleek vase. I brought an Irish sweater home as my souvenir! I'll be making my corned beef this week. Yours has made me look forward to it even more. Haven't decided on a dessert yet though. Thanks for linking to Tuesday Cuppa Tea!

I was also fortunate enough to visit Ireland a few years ago and it was magnificent. Enjoy your Irish tea and the beautiful goodies, Beth!

Hi Beth, I love this post because all 4 of my grandparents came from southern Ireland. I grew up on America's traditional dinner but understand that this is not what is typically served there. I have to say I have a matching Belleek vase as you. We will be having the same food-love it!
Hugs, Noreen
What a beautiful post. My husband and I were just chatting this weekend about a trip to Ireland. We both have some Scots/Irish roots.
Your shamrocks cookies look scrumptious. I just might need to go out and buy some corned beef to celebrate St. Patty's Day. Yours looks delicious.
Have a blessed day, my sweet friend.

Hello Beth,
What a wonderful trip you had to Ireland. My hubby and I would love to go someday. Hubby is half Irish and he had the red hair and blue eyes to prove it. All my children have the same gorgeous blue eyes.
Your shamrock cookies are pretty and I would love to try your soda bread scone. It looks delightful! Thank you for sharing and coming to tea. Happy St. Patrick's Day!
Blessings,
Sandi

How fortunate you are to have traveled to Ireland. I love all all the foods you prepared especially the irish soda bread. Both sides of my family have the Irish names and some red hair. I love the Belleck china and your vase is lovely with the flowers.
Pam
You're all ready for St. Patrick's Day for sure, Beth! I would LOVE to go to Ireland someday. :)
Hi beth,
Loved your Irish post as I am an Irish girl myself....
Actually went there once, but was only at the airport and was alone and too chicken to venture out by myself.
Shannon Ireland it was, looking out the windows the grass was amazingly beautiful. I usually make Irish Colcannon for St. Patty's day. Like
all your festive Green. My dad took his Irishness very seriously.
It was a big deal when I was a kid,
for him anyway........
thanks for sharing this fun post,
blessings, Nellie
I would love to visit Ireland. Your pictures show a bit of what draws me to that desire. Especially the sheep.
The vase is lovely and the simplicity seems to embody the spirit of the country we all love to celebrate on St. Patrick's day.
Did you tour the castle?
Beth,
Thanks so much for stopping by and for your words of encouragement!!
Hugs,
Debbie
Beautiful table! Delightful photos of Ireland. Hopefully, Ireland will be on our travel agenda next year.
A lovely trip and tea...I visited Ireland in 2008 and fell in love with the country of my father's ancestors. So funny what we think is traditional Irish food as they do not eat corned beef and cabbage...but I do love it.
Beautiful pictures of Ireland, I would love to go some day. I just love scones too.
Cynthia
Hello there Beth,
I love that you were able to travel to Ireland... Such a wonderful memory. No doubt it is all delightfully charming with the sheep dotting the country side and every nook and cranny, every emerald rolling hill just steeped in history and Irish charm. Your pictures are lovely!
Your tea table is set to invitingly charming perfection for your St. Patrick's themed post. Everything is just so utterly festive and pretty Beth!... I especially loved your Shamrock vase with the white tulips vase, also all of your whimsical little extra touches and very yummy food. Now I'm hungry!
Have a happy St. Patrick's Day and a wonderful week.
Cheers, blessings and hugs from Wanda Lee
P.S. ~ Although until recently I was saddened that due to my ill health I was not be able return many visits or comments, as I so wanted to do...
Yet I thank God and I am delighted to begin to do so just now. I just and wanted to say how much your kind, loving, encouraging and faithfully sweet words have meant to me personally over the last while dear Beth. ~ Thank you.
Beth:
You have done a lovely presentation and I love your trip photos! Thank you so much for linking this post to Friends Sharing Tea!
Hi Beth,
I tried to leave a note yesterday and blogger ate it up.
Love your beautiful tea and vase!
And your trip, oh my, so envious!
My son and dil went and they loved it so much.
Hugs,
Cindy
Hi Beth, my hubby and I went to Ireland several years ago for our dream vacation. I agree that the countryside looks like a patchwork quilt. I want a bite of all of your food. The cookies look so good, as do the scones and the corned beef and cabbage. Happy St. Paddy's Day!
It all looks so pretty, Beth. I enjoyed this post. Those drop scones looks so yummy. Happy St. Patrick's Day
