Early spring:
Pansies can be planted early (April or even March) in our area. If you look closely, you can see these pansies were dusted with a little snow in an unusual May 3rd snowstorm.
June:
Petunias, calibrachoa, and verbena in a welcoming pastel arrangement
Fall:
Containers flank the front door, where a seasonal wreath shines.
And in keeping with fall, the monarchs are now frequent visitors to the garden. They especially like the verbena bonariensis.
When it comes to winter, I'll be decorating with evergreens and faux poinsettias - something like this (below).
There you have it: a year in front porch container gardening!
