Tea and the garden - is it fall yet?

Is it fall yet? The temperatures say no, but the garden is changing to reflect fall....or maybe the plants are just getting tired. My snack trays by Gem are fallish, and I felt like using them for tea today.

Black tea, and lemon loaf from the grocery store...too hot to bake!

Now, to see what late summer/early fall looks like at Sunsplash Gardens, scroll on down.

Kiss Me Over The Garden Gate

Clematis 'Ramona' had a lot of brown leaves, and I cut it  back. Surprise: it rebloomed!

Russian sage and red roses, a nice color combination

Purple beautyberry

Malobar spinach is going nuts!

Some of the hostas are blooming.

Cypress vine

David Austin rose 'Bishop's Castle'

Another clematis that I cut back due to browning of the leaves:  'Claire de lune'

Surprise! The potted PINK gerbera must have had two plants in the pot. And this one isn't pink.

Balsam

Blackberry lily then (July)....

...and now

Hope you enjoyed the cuppa tea and garden tour. Happy Fall - it's on its way!
