The orioles arrive.
Iris bloom.
It's prime time for garden center shopping.
And it's Tulip Time in Pella!
This is a celebration of tulips and Dutch culture.
A favorite photo, taken at the Historical Village
A lovely combination of hostas and tulips
I found some beautiful teapots in the gift shop at the Historical Village. I ended up taking this one home.
Green tea labeled for persons who speak Dutch, found at a bakery
Also at the bakery
Wouldn't one of these be awesome with a cuppa?
My blue and white teapot in its new home, ready for use
I set my tea table with the teacup and cream and sugar that my grandmother received from a nephew who visited The Netherlands.
Dutch windmill cookies, a crispy cookie with a spicy taste I cannot identify, perhaps a little ginger?
I hope spring comes soon! I'm looking forward to tulips, orioles, all kinds of flowers, and Tulip Time. In the meantime, I can always enjoy a cup of tea in a pretty teacup.

Very pretty pics Beth! I love all of the beautiful colors:@)
Lovely photos. Great tea set you took home. It would be hard passing up some of the sets they have out there available.

I love tulips. I may have to make a trip to Ottawa this year during the Tulip Festival in May. Then again, perhaps a Feb. excursion there would be nice during Winterlude.
Your pictures are a beacon of brightness today!

Those are such pretty tea-pots. I would have picked the blue one to come home with me, too. It looks so nice with your other china. Tulips are my second favorite flower next to daisies. Love them. That's a great photo of you..suitable for framing. ;-)
What fabulous photos... We were in the netherlands in '73 and it is absolutely heavenly... I love tulips... I wish I had more planted.
Oh, Beth, all these marvellous tulips are such a blessing for our eyes! Mine are still just peeping out of the earth, but I'm looking forward to seeing them bloom.
Your Dutch teapots are beautiful, too!
I must sign in as your follower, don't know how I forgot to do it earlier :)

Hi Beth,
today we had a second snowfall. Now it starts to get really winter here. Spring will need a long time to come. Meanwhile we will enjoy photos like yours. The tulips pictures are so pretty. I feel the sunshine on them. And the Dutch china is so sweet. May be once I will visit Nederland, too. Thank you for sharing your wonderful spring memories.
Best greetings, Johanna
Beautiful, beautiful tulips!!

You have a lovely blog, Beth. My husband is from near Holland MI and always speaks of the tulips there. I love the pretty teapots you have shared and the cookies look delicious.
Hello Beth, what a lovely post! Seeing all those beautiful flowers really cheers me up! And your tea set is lovely! Dutch tea pot and china are so very pretty with the windmills on them.
My tulips are just coming up, even though it is only January. Here in NC we have a pretty mild winter. We can only hope we don't have a strong frost before they bloom.
Hugs,
Terri
Oh goodness Baeth! You are so far ahead of us. Not even a bulb tip up yet! Thanks for your glorious photos. I can dream of spring! What a wonderful event. Ours will be in April. Love your teapot too. Thanks for linking to Tuesday Cuppa Tea!

After our warm up and snow melt we all have spring fever....what a wonderful place to see tulips...stunning!! I remember windmill cookies from my childhood in Indiana...yummy!!
Dear Beth,
Glorious!! Such color and beauty. You too! You are a beautiful lady too with a winning smile.
I think the teapot with the pink toile windmill and suttle tulips is precious.
What an uplifting post!

Hello Beth,
I too am longing for Spring; not a winter person at all. The tulips are simply gorgeous and your new teapot is just perfect with your other blue pieces.
Now, if I had seen the other teapot with the pink windmill, it would have come home with me. Splendid post, my friend, and dreamy pictures. Thank for coming to tea and have a delightful week.
Blessings,
Sandi
Hi Beth,
I love teapot that you bought in Pella. Is there any chance that you know the name of the gift shop? I live close to Des Moines and would love to visit that place.
Thank you,
Mirjana
Hi Beth,
Love your new windmill teapot! Looks fabulous with your matching blue & white cream & sugar. Your table cloth is very pretty. I love the photo of the hosta's and tulips together. I will have to plant some between my hosta's! Lovely idea!
Wishing you a wonderful week!
hugs,
Lisa
What a beautiful teapot, Beth. All the colorful flowers sure are brightening up my dreary day. We had snow again in Texas this morning. Thanks for the winter cheer.
I'm wondering, Beth, if the spice is cardamom in the windmill cookies? I can almost taste them!!
Oh, we are so ready for spring! :)
Thank you for these beautiful pictures ... they are helping us dream of happy, warmer weather and all that comes with it.
Hugs!
Tulips are my favorite! Love your blue setting but all the photos are pretty and colorful!
sandy :)
Oh Beth...if I inhale deeply, I can almost smell the tulips! I can't wait till we can hit the greenhouses for this year's supply of colorful annuals.
Your knowledge of all the various plants impresses me & I never come away from here without learning something.
Warm Hugs till Spring,
Rett
p.s. I'm putting Windmill Cookies on my shopping list!
Hi Beth,
What a beautiful teapot and it matches so well with the lovely teacup, creamer, and sugar bowl! I like your blue patchwork tablecloth, too! They all look so pretty together. I can't wait for spring, too! Thanks for sharing all your spring pictures!
