Winter in the garden, and giveaway winner

Winter in Sunsplash Gardens...it's green, and brown, and white...and just to clarify, the tulips in my last post are from a previous spring...it's still very much winter here in the heartland.

 Lamium

 Callicarpa (Purple Beautyberry)

 A larkspur seedling

 Primula

 Rosemary

Conifers, yucca, stones, and snow

Under the snow, the grass is still green.

Also seen in the garden: raccoon tracks

Just to show you, the cat and dog are getting along. Gracie sits beside me on the couch while little Josey sits on my lap.

Another shot of Gracie, my Ragdoll cat

Also, I was the lucky winner of Diann's giveaway at The Thrifty Groove. I received this Kroger giftcard! Thanks, Diann!

Diann sent a note written on this pretty stationery too. Be sure to visit Diann; she has a lovely blog that tells you how to live well on a budget.

I hope you will stop by here Friday, where I'm participating in the Grow Your Blog party at 2 Bags Full.

Everything looks great Beth, love that pretty red bottle too! Don't believe I'm going to say this... but I hope we see some snow this year! (While wishing, preferably on a Saturday.) A little goes a long way:@)

You are frozen in. We had the warm up this weekend with loads of rain which finally melted our snow. Congratulations on the win.

Hi Beth,

You have a lot more green going on than I do. This just proves that snow is a protection, I have none!

Congratulations on your win, Beth!

The grass is green here as well. If this keeps up, I'll need to start looking for snowdrops in the garden.

Hi Beth..

isnt it amazing how little plants can survive and spring up even in the harshest conditions. Nature reminds me of the human spirit in so many ways.
I'm following you back:)
thanks so much for visiting me so I could find YOU.

What a nice blog you have! And it looks like a little bit of spring in your garden (my garden in Sweden is covered in snow).

It's good to know that under the frozen coating, life still exists, yes!? ;-) Glad kitty and puppy are becoming chummy!!! Your Gracie reminds me of our Jasmine (Sissy) we had when we were first married. She was a Himalayan....lol, and so snooty! oh my. But we went out and rescued a little orange bobtail Manx mix and brought him in to give her a little excitement in her high life....AND oh he was just the ticket! :-) :-) (Boojie) Sometimes he would take off down our long hallway when she was walking through the front entry and do a tremendous leap over her and keep going. It was HILARIOUS. If looks could kill! Cats are funny too. Have fun with the furry family members and congrats on your win, Beth. :-) ((hugs))
